Spectramed is currently running 're-launching' sessions The aim is to directly inform members around the country about the company's products

With health insurance companies and medical schemes coming under fire time
and time again for not communicating clearly with their members, at least one
company has decided to take matters in hand and change its policy.
Spectramed, the South African health scheme, announced that it is
currently running 're-launching' sessions, whereby information about its
products are directly communicated to its members at a number of locations
around the country.
Spectramed will do away with the traditional road show that directed the
company's products to industry associates, and will instead spend the valuable
funds in several workshops around the country, where members will be able to
learn information about the products available, ask questions and let their
comments be heard by the right people.
The Chief Executive Officer and Principal Officer of Spectramed, Quincy
Beukes said: "Our members are our first priority, as the owners of the scheme
they have the right to be fully informed about all changes taking place."
Spectramed will offer members information about everything ranging from
product design and pricing, to development and what is in store for them in
2009.
In addition to these workshops, all Spectramed members will receive the usual
annual information package that will incorporate updated data regarding pricing,
product changes, and the company's move to the Medscheme Group (effective the
beginning of the year).
The member workshops began in Johannesburg, and will continue to run in all
major centers, including Cape Town, Pretoria, Nelspruit, Durban, Port Elizabeth
and Polokwane.
