FIA Awards 2009 just over a week away The awards are based on the annual FIA's intermediary satisfaction survey

The Financial Intermediaries Association 2009 Recognition Awards Ceremony
will take place on May 21st.
Established in 1998, the awards are considered by many to be one of the
must-attend ceremonies of the year and pay tribute to the top performers in the
insurance industry.
Awards are given based on the position that service providers have on the
FIA's intermediary satisfaction survey, which is run each year.
Each year, with the help of Bluestream Consulting, intermediaries in the
South African financial industry, have the opportunity to rank their favourite
insurance providers, based on a number of criteria including overall
satisfaction, quality of service and quality of product.
The President of FIA, Arnold van der Linde, also noted that "prior to
the publication of the final research results, the methodology used by
Bluestream Consulting to determine the best product providers undergoes external
academic review by doctors in research and statistics."
Insurance companies are ranked in the categories such as Short Term Insurance
(corporate, personal and commercial); Health Insurance; Life Insurance (life and
risk) and the newly added category, Employee Benefits.
Members of the Financial Intermediaries Association carry a lot of clout in
the insurance industry, acting as intermediaries for over 80% of all short term
insurance groups in South Africa.
The FIA Recognition Awards Ceremony will be held at the Sandton Convention
Centre and promises to attract the who's-who of the insurance industry.
Winning an award at the ceremony is considered a great honour by insurance
providers in the country.
